The Beauty and Essence of Reading
The way life is laced, the things that are most beneficial are the hardest things to do. It takes a form of intentionality to actually go the extra mile and challenge yourself to do the things you would naturally not do. Reading is one of such! Loaded with so many goodies but takes some amount of discipline.
But really, of the many things that reading does to a person is that, it can make you more attractive. True beauty actually stems from the inside out, knowledge lightens and brightens your inner man which would always reflect on your body and the way you carry yourself, your thoughts towards yourself and the things that surrounds you.
When you are well informed, you tend to make the right decisions. When you are consistent with making brilliant decisions, people will begin to notice you over time and discover the wonder hidden in you. Reading definitely makes you more beautiful. Below are some other ways by which reading impacts your personality.
When I was a little child I understood books as materials that keep me from boredom when my parents aren't home, at that phase of my life the only books I loved were story books, especially children story books. The narration changed as I grew, but there is still something that remains. Even though the kinds of books I read have changed, I can't deny that books give me this exceptional ability to imagine.
There is really no useless knowledge, except it is a false information, which is a caution we should always watch out for when exposing our minds to knowledge. But apart from that, the knowledge you consider less significant today might be your saving power tomorrow. Reading affords you the opportunity to know more and know better.
A book is a summary of someone's life experiences. By reading a book, you simply take yourself through the life process a person went through for years, just in a few days. You gain the wisdom in their experiences and the lessons from their failings. Reading makes you wise, and wisdom is attractive.
You know what? I can actually go on and on telling you the importance of reading from today till tomorrow, but I trust you're smart enough to have gained a lot from all I've written. So don't slack at all, you are welcome to Phebe Bookstore, click the menu button at the left corner of your screen now, visit the store and get a book to read. You would thank me for it.
I hope you heed my free advice. Smiles! Cheers to reading.
